Talk To Me

A poem about silence,
connection and
the desperate need
to be heard.
poem 1.png

I nearly threw my phone against

the wall,

hoping it would break - the phone, not

the wall,

poem 2.png

although actually - maybe I do mean

the wall,

maybe I do want

the wall

to explode outwards -

poem 3.png

like something resembling

a prison break,

an encouragement to embrace

some terrifying cacophony.

POEM 4.png

Or maybe I just want

the phone

to shatter,

POEM 5.png

so that all its silent likes

and seen(but unanswered)

messages

can echo my anger -

POEM 7.png

and maybe then,

for one gloriously self-indulgent

and wonderfully meaningful moment,

poem9.png

genuine contact

can be made:

POEM 8.png

plastic and metal

meaningfully disintegrating

in an instant of

exquisite communication.
